Okay... I've been thinking about this for a while now. Do you guys think that stem cell research can actually cure cancer and aids? Ever since Obama passed the bill to legalize stem cell research, i've been questioning whether or not it can cure cancer and AIDS. Here's my theory of thought: when a person gets cancer or AIDS, the viruses travel through the immune system and their immune system weakens and eventually becomes nonexistant. A stem cell comes from an unborn fetus, which has a perfect immune system. If a person with cancer or AIDS is willing to get injected with stem cells, and undergo various tests for the sake of research, the 'perfect' immune system will trump the flawed immune system of the test subject and the cancer or AIDS will go into remission.

I know this is a very controversial topic because a lot of people (including my mom) think that stem cell research is a fancy term for killing fetuses. Like I said, I have thought about this for a really long time and I think that this could be a possibility in the near future. The people who work with stem cell research should try to find people with cancer or AIDS who want to be tested to see if this will work.

1. Go to the Grand Canyon and watch the sunset. Supposedly, the mountains and canyons put on a good show at sunset. They change colors and make it look like the colors are 'dancing.
2. Go to Times Square and watch the ball drop at midnight.
3. Find someone who likes me for me and not what they want me to be.
4. Learn how to drive.
5. Play in the snow.
6. Take a road trip cross-country with friends that I hope to someday meet.
7. Go to college.
8. See Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
9. Ultimately save enough money to go to Barrow, Alaska and stay there during the time of darkness. I want to see the final sunset and the first sunrise.
10. Hopefully, accomplish half of these things before my time is up.

I think that it depends on the situation. If it's something small and petty, it's easier to just forget about it and make sure all parties involved never mention it again. If it's something simply horrible and unforgettable, all parties involved should just forgive each other. For some people, it's the opposite. It's easier for people to forgive others for the small, petty things, and just forget about the big horrible things.

Then there are the people that throw aside both options and decide to go the other more difficult route: they decide to hold grudges. I think I am one of those people, but I'm trying to better myself. I'm starting to realize that holding grudges isn't the way to live.

I love Spring. It always meant a week off from school when I was going, and now it means looking forward to seeing all the beautiful flowers and leaves 'spring' into life. Also... I saw my first monarch butterfly of the season yesterday afternoon.
